Background: Etiquette Financial Partners (EFP) is a small Financial Services practice located in the western suburbs of Chicago in the town of Westmont, Illinois. Consisting of 4 revenue-producing Advisors, of which 3 are equity partners, and 2 support personnel. EFP is looking to augment its financial services practice by adding an Advisor with a specialty/area of expertise in tax planning.

Role/Job Description: The desired candidate will have a minimum of 10 years as a practicing and accredited CPA. EFP has several clients who are small business owners as well as a small subset of clients who need nuanced, sophisticated, and tax planning help. The desired candidate will have relevant, up-to-date knowledge of all relevant income tax management strategies. While Series 7 and 66 licenses are preferred, we may consider CPAs with Advisory goals who are willing to pursue licensing.

Talent Acquisition Methodology: Mining the EFP Professional Network. This will include social media outreach to include LinkedIn network postings, EFP Facebook page and possibly magazine posting. Additional outreach will include Wholesaler network outreach, A and B client outreach as well as contacting regional Accounting and Financial Advisory industry groups. Since we have limited Public Accounting connections, will need to research relevant Accounting Industry groups so that our inquiry is correctly aligned with relevant Accounting professional groups.

Accounting / CPA Paths:

1.      A solid CPA with a small firm. We can give and receive referrals. Prefer local to western suburbs area

2.      License a CPA (series 7 & 66) and be able to revenue share with them and incorporate them fully into the practice

-          Ambitious and looking to grow their practice

-          Fits well with the EFP team
